Summary
College student Alex Jackson shot and killed his parents and sister at their Cedar Rapids, Iowa home on June 15, 2021. Alex Jackson had been an Eagle Scout, had never been in trouble with the law before, and had not shown any signs of a mental illness. Alex called 911 himself after the incident. At his arrest, he had told law enforcement officers a story in his defense implicating an intruder, a man wearing green shoes, and had a minor gunshot wound to his own foot which was treated at a hospital upon being taken into custody.
